Weight of a World

Weight of a world on my shoulders,
Daily the news is so grim;
Shadowing wings surrounding,
Weight lifts and the troubles grow dim.
Mighty and gentle, You carry me…
My battles are met at Your feet;
Prayer rising to meet Your promise,
Strength is gained for the day I will greet.
