The quick prayer whispered,
Then forgotten,
For a simple need,
One of a hundred;
The prayer of frustration
Cried out in despair
After trying sincerely
Results in failure.
The prayer of thanks,
The prayer of praise,
The prayer that reminds me
That You rule and reign;
The prayer repeated
A thousand times
Without clear result,
As my faith is tried;
No matter the purpose,
No matter the reason,
As I approach Your throneroom,
I’m thankful You listen.
