Beauty in the Waiting
There is beauty in the waiting;
Through the bitter times, it speaks
Of HOPE eternal,
Faithful ONE,
Whose promises will be complete.
He will not fail
In our travail,
Though His timing seems unclear;
When promise comes,
The promising ONE
Proves that He’s always been near.
My heart may doubt,
Though it tries to stay
Set on the course
And set in the way;
My heart may weep
As the bitter thoughts seep
Through memories and thoughts
That I strain to keep…
But there is beauty in the waiting.
There is glory in His time.
There is HOPE eternal,
And that HOPE is mine.
