Knit Our Hearts

Knit our hearts together, Lord,
In unity and prayer;
Flood our hearts with Your great love,
And build an altar there.
Fortify our hearts, Lord,
As brick by brick You lay;
Build a mighty fortress
Filled with faith that will not sway!
Bind our hearts together, Lord,
Draw us closer into Your fold
As  we join to praise
And seek Your face,
And bear another’s load.

 

You knit our hearts together, Lord,
Uniting us in prayer;
An awesome work
Within our hearts,
You build Your altars there…
The markers that remind us
As You fortify our hearts,
That we serve and seek a powerful God
Who is faithful in all of His works!
You bind our hearts together,
And though the time and space increase
The distance of this world between us,
That prayer-built bond won’t cease.
