Holding On

When I think I’m holding on by a thread,
Help me to see the strong rope instead,
Anchored to salvation’s rock,
Anchored in a Savior’s love;
Held by arms that won’t let go,
Held so close, I’ll never know
The separation that my mind construes,
Wrapped in Your hope, I can never fall
Completely away,
No, I can never hide,
Nor will You hide Yourself from me…
But hidden in You, I can continue on
Though the storms be fierce,
Though the winds blow strong,
My heart will trust and be filled with songs
Of praise for You,
With thanksgiving, with prayer;
Songs of love and joy for all You’ve done…
I will meet my strength in You
And then…press on!
