Adversity
Instructing me
In the faithfulness You show;
Challenged, but changed,
My plans rearranged,
That I must rely on You.
Faithful and true,
Time and again
You send me to my knees;
Not in my own strength,
Not in my own time,
Not in my own power,
For all of these
Fail;
But Yours…
Though the enemy schemes
Against my plans and my dreams
It’s Your plans that will prevail.
Adversity
Instructing me,
Allowing me to grow
Out of comfort and complacency
As I depend more and more upon You.
