Mingle with the Masses

Lord, You mingled with the masses
And Lord, You touched their flesh;
Ate with them, spent time with them
And taught and loved and gave.

You did not show great preference
For those who had great means;
You loved them, though they walked away,
But You led a simple life.

You mingled with the lowly,
The sick and the sinful and poor;
You touched and healed and spoke and loved
And showed them an open door.

Lord, may I mingle with those in need;
Of Your love and
Your precious touch,
May I speak.
May I move in great boldness to share,
Not witholding my love;
May my pride and prejudices never impair.
