The Dimming of a Fire

The dimming of a fire,

Failing light would soon expire

If not for the gentlest breath,

Whispering in the gentlest voice,

Protecting the embers from death.

The stirring of a flame,

Reviving sparks in growing blaze,

With gentlest touch, tended and fueled,

Inviting heat begins to exude.

The raging of a fire,

Full blown flames which now inspire,

Spreading outward and onward more,

Spreading beyond all mortal control,

Spirit moved action consuming the world!
