Life in the Desert

Finding myself in the desert dry,

I know there are springs hidden inside;

Your word in my heart to keep, to sustain,

Your Spirit indwelling, my life to maintain.

Living in the desert dry,

I still survive, though circumstances try;

Not obvious to the naked eye,

Abundant beauty is there to find.

Sweet release when the rain starts to fall,

Glorious potential may be fulfilled;

A beauty found only in desert land,

Had I never dwelt there,

I’d not understand .
