I’m a want,

Not a need!

If I were not,

God still would be!

I’m a want,

Not a need!

God can manage without me;

I’m not a necessity.

I’m a want,

Not a need,

Yet He showed me how much

He truly wanted me by sending His Son,

Who sacrificed comfort,

Wealth and position

To assure that one day

I might live with Him.

I’m a want,

Not a need,

And it’s awesome to see

Just how much He truly wants me!
