Tea for You
My china had some rest,
For I hadn’t any guests
To visit me.
So, I made a cup of tea
And settled down to see
If You might come.
I spoke a word of prayer
For I knew You’d join me there,
And my, we had a wonderful time.
I listened to Your word…
So much for me to hear and learn
Of Your love and Your wonderful plans.
When I put my cup away
And continued through the day,
The conversation lingered on.
And though I’d work to do,
Amazingly, I still heard You…
You joined me in my chores,
Your presence never left…
More than just a fleeting friend.
I’m glad I had some time with You,
And I’m thankful that You’ve always time for me.
