Rejected even before His birth,
As the time for His birth drew near;
No room at the inn,
But their eyes set on Him,
They continued in trust, not fear.

Prophecy to fulfill,
Should we be surprised
At the lack of awareness they faced?
Messiah drew close,
But most eyes were closed
As the couple sought a place
To rest, to give birth, to complete this trek,
Another journey to pursue…
The parents entrusted to raise up the Son,
Raised up by God to fulfill
His plan of redemption
From the death grip of sin.

A life of rejection,
But those who would accept Him,
Acceptance they would find,
Forgiveness and love,
An everlasting home;
In that rejected unborn child,
The promise of life everlasting fulfilled.
