My mind’s turned to mush…
I could nearly give up;
With endless requests,
My patience they test.

Childish chatter floods the room…
My concentration quickly moves
From one to another, then back again,
Sifting through the noise to understand what was said.

Frustration brews and begins to spew,
When out of the blue, a soft “I love you!”
Calms my heart and allows a new start,
Refreshing my mind, changing my outlook.
