Mary is a model
Of a willing servant’s love;
Quick to accept, quick to obey,
Quick to follow her Lord.
Humble obedience, no complaint;
Amidst unusual circumstance,
She kept a submitted heart.

And I…given circumstance less severe,
Whimper and argue and shed my tears.
The least of inconveniences cause my flesh to flare,
Selfishly attending to my own selfish cares.
