God’s soldiers armed and ready,
With peace, their feet are shod,
The belt of truth about their waists,
Breastplates and helmets on.
The sword of the Spirit, His word on their lips,
The shield of faith in hand
To quench the darts of the evil one…
Waiting, on call, they stand.

Surprise attack…into action they move,
Ready at His word;
Empowered by His Spirit,
Filled with His love,
His faithfulness, they prove.
