Exalted in humility…
Bowing down to be lifted up
Into arms of hope
Which lowered themselves
To reach my prideful heart.

He came to serve,
Expecting not
The treatment due a king;
Treated as a lowly man,
He set aside everything
He deserved.

If we attend to all
We’ve heard through His word,
We should learn
That we must serve;
Lowering ourselves,
Lifting others up,
Exalting Him
In the humble giving
Of our lives to serve,
Conforming
To the image
Of our servant King.
