Doubt

I don’t doubt the sun,
Whether it will rise,
Nor the seasons and signs,
Nor the sea and its tide,
And yet my eyes
Can briefly stray
From all these things…
My mind is swayed
Toward doubt of You,
Your plan, Your will,
Reducing my faith,
My trust, my zeal.
You are steady and strong,
I’m faithless and faint;
You’re a strong tower;
I’m feeble and weak.
