At Times
At times You allow me
To walk in a haze, carrying a burden,
Feeling its weigh;
By my own design,
Bearing a load
That You didn’t intend,
But allowed me to hold.
As I pray, You direct
And the fog starts to clear;
I realize the weight
Was never mine to bear.
Relief returns,
The burden removed,
Placed in Your hands
Where it initially belonged.
